Javier M. Carlin has 22 years of experience in the field of structural engineering designing architectural and civil type projects. He completed his Bachelor degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1994, and began his professional career with L.A. Fuess Partners in Dallas, TX after completing his Master degree from Texas A&M University in 1997. During this time Mr. Carlin gained extensive experience in the structural design of diverse projects in multiple states including landmark projects such as the Terminal D of the DFW International Airport as well as a number of high rise and mixed use buildings. Javier joined the design team at HKN Engineers in the summer of 2002 and he has been responsible for the design of many important projects in the region including the University Medical Center Expansion and the El Paso Children’s Hospital. Javier is actively involved with the Structural Engineers Association of Texas and currently serves as President Elect.
Manuel A. Levario has 18 years of experience in the field of structural engineering designing architectural type projects. He began his professional career with HKN Engineers following graduation from New Mexico State University in 1999. Some of the projects that Mr. Levario has designed include the Academic Services Building, Engineering Annex, School of Nursing and the Chemistry and Computer Science Buildings at the University of Texas at El Paso, Sonoma Elementary School in Las Cruces, NM, Grant High School in Grant, NM, and Freshman Housing at the New Mexico State University. Mr. Levario had also spent 1 1/2 years with Brockette Davis Drake in Dallas where he acquired substantial experience in the design of high-rise buildings.
